The 19th hole is the clubhouse bar. It’s where the round gets retold, the putts get longer and the bets get settled. Nobody keeps score there, but it’s the part of the day everybody remembers. That’s the feeling we wanted to put into something you could hold.
We’re Owen and Augie, two brothers from Pineville, just outside Charlotte, North Carolina. We play together, we belong to a club where half the conversations happen after the round, and in October 2026 we started a golf TikTok that’s mostly us on the course giving each other a hard time.
Somewhere in all that filming we noticed the same thing in every bag, ours included. Alignment sticks are the most useful practice tool in golf and the least loved. They’re bright fiberglass rods that live bent in the trunk. Nobody’s ever been proud of a pair.
So we tried to make one we’d be proud of. We picked up a couple of hardwood dowels and some paint, and painted the first prototype at home with no garage and no workshop, just a lot of drying time. It came out looking like it belonged in a bag next to a set of persimmon woods. That was the whole idea.
The Card So Far
| Hole | What happened | When |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Two brothers start a golf TikTok. Lots of golf, lots of chirping. | Oct 2026 |
| 2 | We notice nobody makes alignment sticks worth showing off. | Oct 2026 |
| 3 | A couple of hardwood dowels and some paint. | Oct 2026 |
| 4 | First prototype painted at home. It works. It looks good. | Oct 2026 |
| 5 | We settle on a 16″ leather head cover that covers the whole painted top. | Oct 2026 |
| 6 | 19th Hole Vintage opens with the founding batch. | Now |
| 19 | The clubhouse: a full vintage golf shop with polos, persimmons and head covers, and our sticks behind the counter. | Coming |
How Every Pair Is Made
Each pair starts as two solid hardwood rods, 48 inches long and three-quarters of an inch thick, heavier and straighter than the fiberglass kind. We leave the top 4 inches bare, paint the next 12 by hand in small batches, let them cure, and leave the rest of the stick natural wood. Then each pair gets a 16-inch leather head cover that covers the tip and all of the paint. Because it’s all done by hand, every pair has small differences. We think that’s the point.
We split everything down the middle, from the paint to the shipping labels. If you order a pair, one of us painted it and the other one probably packed it.
Where It’s Headed
The sticks are the first tee. The plan is a full vintage golf shop: old polos, old clubs, old leather, and our sticks as the reason you come in. Thanks for being here early.
